Giltwood Sculpture Titled "Shade Mask"

This beautiful bronze Art Deco sculpture was created in the 1920s during the height of the Deco period by the sculptor Gerda Gerdago (1906-2004). Gerdas career began as a costume designer for theatrical productions and then took those designs into sculpture. Here we have a female dancer dressed in a very geometric costume performing with cymbals.

This amazing American Art Deco sculpture was created in the 1930s-1940s and captures the spirit of movement and classicism. The piece is in cast aluminum which was quite the modern material to use in a neoclassical stylized sculpture. Note: This piece can be hung on the wall or stand free with the attached rod. Large-Scale Bronze Sculpture of Diana by F. Barbedienne (1810-1892) Foundry

This beautiful 19th century grand-tour piece was created by the Ferdinand Barbedienne foundry in Italy. The piece is incised with F. Bernedienne Fondeur on the side of the base and has its Reduction ME Antique A. Collas on the top of the base (see photographs).

 

Note: The right leg is a separate casting as is the right and left arm.

Bronze Sculpture of Ballet Dancer, Titled "Poised", American, Bunny Adelman, 86'

This beautiful bronze by the American sculpture Bunny Adelman was acquired from a prominent Palm Beach estate. Here the sculptor has captured his subject in mid-step as she seems to float with grace an poise.

 

Provenance: This piece was at one time in the Muscarelle Museum of Art at the College of William & Mary, Williamsburg, VA.

Pair of Polychromed Venetian Style Blackamoor Sculptures, Italy, 19th Century

This amazing set of blackamoors date from the late 19th century and were purchase in Venice, Italy. The female figures are draped in exotic patterned fabrics in colors of soft white, turquoise grey, blue-black, rouge and gold.

 

There is some wear to the upper blouses of the figures (see photographs) and some in-painting.
