Jean Cocteau Inspired Artisan Sculpture
This artisan sculpture has taken its inspiration from the "Satyr" series created by Jean Cocteau in the 1940s. If you look closely you will see the stubs of the two horns on the forehead line. The piece is hand-sculpted in clay and glazed in two tones of lime green.

Grand Tour Bronze, Roman Woman, France, 19th Century by Susse Freres
This bronze was produced by the firm of Susse Freres in France at the end of the 19th century during the "Grand Tour" of Europe. The piece has aged to a beautiful soft coloration.
Susse Freres foundry started casting bronze in 1839 under the direction of Michel Victor Susse and Amedee Susse who were brothers. They produced ornaments for furniture and clocks as well as statues.
