Chaise in Polished Chrome and Black Upholstery

$5,800

This stylish piece has taken its lines from the classic "Wave" chaise with "flat-bar" metalwork frame created by Milo Baughman in the 1970s for Thayer Coggin.

The woven black fabric seems to be made of a cotton blend and it works beautifully with the polished chrome flat-bar frame.

Mirror in Polished Chrome by Milo Baughman for Thayer Coggin, 1970s

$2,050

This incredible mirror was designed by Milo Baughman and produced by Thayer Coggin Furniture Company in the 1970s. With its cut-corner and fret-work polished chrome frame, this piece is hip, modern and even Hollywood Regency in its design. "Furniture that is too obviously designed," said Milo Baughman, "is very interesting, but too often belongs only in museums."

In Baughman's distinguished body of work, his vast creativity never interfered with functionality, instead, he struck an ideal modernist balance. Using the consummate Mid-Century Modern materials - like chrome, stainless, glass, and leather - he created a new visual vocabulary, built on the legacy of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Marcel Breuer, but infused with the style and ease of the American West Coast.
