Large-Scale Bronze Sculpture of Diana by F. Barbedienne (1810-1892) Foundry

This beautiful 19th century grand-tour piece was created by the Ferdinand Barbedienne foundry in Italy. The piece is incised with F. Bernedienne Fondeur on the side of the base and has its Reduction ME Antique A. Collas on the top of the base. The right leg is a separate casting as is the right and left arm.

Illuminated-Sculpture of the "Artemision Zeus" or "God from the Sea"

This modern resin/plaster composition sculpture which has been electrified (15" cord with line-switch) and mounted on a wooden base is the head section of a much larger bronze sculpture known as the "Artemision Zeus". The piece is finished in a faux verdigris. ( In it’s natural state, verdigris is the patina that happens when bronze, brass or copper is weathered over time).

Bronze Statue "The Dying Gaul," Signed M Amadoi N 'Napoli' 19th Century

This bronze was most likely acquired while on the "Grand Tour" of Europe. It is signed M Amadoi N (Napoli) on the backside of the base.

This beautiful bronze by the American sculpture Bunny Adelman was acquired from a prominent Palm Beach Estate. Here the sculptor has captured his subject in mid-step as she seems to float with grace an poise.  


Provenance: This piece was at one time in the Muscarelle Museum of Art at the College of William & Mary, Williamsburg, VA.

Art Deco Aluminum Sculpture, Circa 1930s-1940s

This amazing American Art Deco sculpture was created in the 1930s-40s and captures the spirit of movement and classicism. The piece is in cast aluminum which was quite the modern material to use in a Neo-Classical stylized sculpture. 

Large-Scale Onyx Sculpture of a Reclining Female Nude by Nuri Tortras

This large-scale onyx Art Deco style sculpture is by the Spanish sculptor Nuri Tortras (b.1926) and dates from the mid-20th century and was recently acquired from a Palm Beach estate. The piece is very much in the style of pieces by the artists Felipe Castaneda and Francisco Zuniga. The piece is signed on the backside.
